05/11/2010 - Law360 Quotes Gregory Fleesler on Nissan Litigation
On May 11, 2010, Law360 quoted Gregory J. Fleesler in an article concerning Nissan's suit accusing Johnson Electric of making faulty automotive parts that resulted in a recall. Johnson Electric contends that Nissan's faulty design caused the recall. Nissan had been resisting discovery, but Johnson Electric has obtained an order compelling them to comply with Johnson Electric's demands. Moses & Singer represents Johnson Electric in the litigation. Below are Greg's comments from the article.
"... the documents are important because Johnson maintains that any hazard that existed was due to Nissan's faulty electrical design, not Johnson's components. Nissan is seeking more than 40 million in damages ..."
"They are alleging Johnson didn't meet their specifications, and then the fan motors failed, requiring a recall ... [b]ut there is ample evidence showing ... that the recall was the result of the improper design."
