Paul Roder is a partner in the firm's Banking and Finance practice where he focuses on syndicated lending and other extensions of credit. He represents banks and other financial institutions, both foreign and domestic, in a variety of financing transactions, including secured and unsecured lending and letter of credit transactions.
Mr. Roder has significant experience representing banks that provide subscription secured credit facilities to investment funds, including private equity, real estate opportunity, and mezzanine funds. His clients often serve as lead agents and arrangers and he regularly advises them in all aspects of such transactions, including the structuring, negotiating, and documenting thereof.
The collateral security in his transactions runs the gamut from cash and marketable securities, to promises to contribute capital, to equity interests in subsidiaries, and a host of other tangible and intangible assets.
Mr. Roder joined the firm in 1999 and became a partner in 2007.
