Mary Kostopoulos is an associate in the Corporate and Banking practices at Moses & Singer LLP. She represents companies in corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, domestic and international commercial transactions, and secured and unsecured finance transactions. Mary also counsels clients on general corporate matters, including employment and consulting agreements, new entity formations, operating and partnership agreements, and regulatory compliance.
Prior to joining Moses & Singer in 2006, Mary worked as an attorney-advisor at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Regulations and Rulings, under the Department of Homeland Security. In this position, she issued various administrative rulings and decisions on customs matters such as rules of origin, country of origin marking requirements, anti-dumping and countervailing duty issues, classification issues, duty preference programs (i.e., GSP, NAFTA ) and drawback. Mary also worked as a Senior Consultant in Customs and International Trade Services at Deloitte Tax LLP, where she advised clients on Customs and export compliance issues that include classification, country of origin, valuation, marking, export licensing, and conducted import and export compliance reviews.
